The National Intelligence and Security Agency has said a Friday operation against Alshabab which was backed by International partners has seen 44 members of Al-Shabaab killed.
The operation was conducted in Kuntuwarey,Lower Shabelle region on Friday- ministry of information has also said
“On May 12, the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), with the assistance of international partners, carried out an operation in which forty-four elements of Alshabab were neutralized in the Lower Shabelle region.” read a brief statement posted by NISA on their Twitter account.
The development comes as multiple operations against Al-Shabaab are ongoing on various regions in the country.
